Emergency Roadside Assistance
The following Emergency Roadside Assistance services are available 24/7/365 days. The objective is to get the beneficiary mobile on the roadside. These services are covered nationally including Lesotho and Swaziland and are limited to R500. Other services offered are Locksmith Services, Car Hire, Overnight Accommodation and Accident Towing.
MEDICAL ASSIST ACCESS
In addition to the general medical-advice service, medical operators will guide a member through a medical-crisis situation by providing emergency advice or by organising for the member to receive the support required, utilising the 24-hour contact-centre doctor.
THome assist is a 24-hour help line, offering assistance with emergency household repairs that could result in consequential damages. It may also refer to a situation where a member has no access to essential services such as electricity, hot water or sanitary use. Assistance is available during and after office hours for appliances.
The HIV-protection treatment service enables the Member to make use of, at his/her own discretion, the following services, which can be paid out of the defined benefit of the policy:
• 24-hour access to trauma counsellors, providing telephonic trauma counselling as well as counselling for post-traumatic stress disorder.
When a family member dies, simply contact the Call Centre. Your nearest funeral services branch will then contact you within the next few minutes.
